Kansbahal Works, a unit under the Machinery & Industrial Products Division of L&T, is a world class integrated machine building center with facilities for casting, fabrication, machining and assembly, complimented by excellent design, engineering, quality control and logistics support.
L&T Kansbahal is an organization where both permanent and contractual people work together. The company required a regular Time-Attendance solution for their permanent employees in order to manage their attendance data accurately. Contractors required a Roster Management solution, which would enable them to manage attendance of employees based on availability of the skill set. Calculating and managing two different types of attendance data accurately with their existing system was a major challenge faced by the company. Manual attendance calculation of more than 2,000 employees was a time-consuming task for HR. To accurately calculate Time-Attendance of regular employees as well as of contractual employees was quite troublesome.
Matrix offered web based COSEC Time-Attendance and Roster Management solutions. COSEC enterprise grade Time-Attendance helped manage regular attendance of permanent employees, while COSEC Roster Management solution helped in managing attendance of contractual workers. Matrix offered a total of 13 COSEC DOOR FOPs for marking attendance of all employees using fingerprint and RFID card. These devices send complete attendance data in real-time to the COSEC CENTRA server. According to user-wise attendance and roster policies, data is processed and attendance is calculated accordingly. With COSEC Time-Attendance module, HR can create different attendance policies, leave policies, shift and holiday schedules and assign it to the respective user. For contractual workers, budget can be defined based on their skill. Ease to generate different types of attendance reports in real-time, in desired formats and from anywhere.
